Smilja Tisma, pictured below, is one of if not the last remaining survivor of Jasenovac concentration camp which is considered to be one of the most brutal and sadistic concentration camp in human history. She was placed in it as a child as well as several other concentration camps including Jastrebarsko. Both her parents were murdered at Jasenovac. Smilja moved to Serbia where she became a lawyer. In later life, Smilja served as a member of Serbian Parliament from 2020 - 2022 making her one of the oldest parliamentarians in the world. We met and interviewed Smilja in 2023. Help us make Smilja and Gojko's dream come true of petitioning the Serbian government to make a national day of remembrance for the Serbian Genocide of WWII / Day of Remembrance for Diana Budisavljevic in Serbia. Multiple attempts have already been made to no avail.
